Blastocystis hominis - vacuolar form (has a central vacuole with 1 - 4 nuclei and 5 - 20 microns wide) the form found in culture or formed after feaces are passed from the colon and was thought to be the typical form but they are not the forms present in the colon. CM cell membrane, CVM central vacuole bilaminar membrane, CV central vacuole, ER endoplasmic reticulum, M mitochrodrion which is electron - opaque and has few cristae, n crescentic condensed chromatin band in nucleus, Nu nucleus.
